With Life Laugh Lexapro, award-winning “dreamy cabaret darling” [TimeOut NY] Jack Bartholet expands upon his previous solo show, Unusually Grand Ideas; a billet-doux to a special summer on Fire Island and his foray into the world of antidepressants, prescribed and otherwise. Beyond drugs, there’s also disco! dancing! dick! dogs! In this eclectic program of songs ranging from 1920s Weimar and Songbook tunes to bops of today, Jack uses his “punk sensibility and buttery smooth vocals” [BroadwayWorld] for an evening of experiential catharsis and laughs.
