Leading Ladies, A Valentines Weekend Celebration of Black Women in Musical Theater.
Thee Suburbia and Thee Ella Fartzgerald are both live singers. Together they have been drag sisters for almost a decade. Members of the Haus of Thee, a musical haus made of mostly vocalist and musicians who do drag, the two are coming together to share the joy of black women singing in films and musicals. They have pulled songs from “The Princess of The Frog”, “Hallelujah Baby!”, “Dreamgirls”, “The Color Purple” and many more. This will be perfect for Black History Month.
